Female Protagonist

Ummmm... well hello♥ this is the first time I've made a thread in this forums and I wanted to ask you guys... how would you feel if they make a Rune Factory where your character is a female? or a RF with gender selection?

I want to know everyone's opinion about this matter if it's not too troublesome for you.

I asked this because in my opinion that... would be great! I've seen people that haven't played RF just because they feel better with their character being a female (I'm fine either way). I think that a gender selection would be really comfortable for the players (I'm not comparing this to a Harvest Moon) and I really mean for ANY kind of player. (Even though I know it would be a lot of work for them to make).

The most recent RF game in Japan has gender selection, but it is supposedly only available after beating the game as the male character, It just came out on February 24, 2011, in Japan, caleed Rune Factory Oceans.

In my opinion, it would be a nice addition, especially since more females are started to get into RF games, like they did with Harvest Moon games. Adding another playable gender usually expands the game content making more possibilities and increasing replay value for either gender.

And it's really true, with a gender selection the game content will expand and that would take to the game to be a lot more popular with the female gender (even though it already is).

i agree, they should. i am a male, but my little sister wanted to play the game. so i let her borrow it, but when she realised that the RF3 main character was a guy, she never played it again its such a great game!

Lol~ exactly that is the problem! and the solution is so simple ^O^ lots of females are missing this great game because they want to play it with a female lead. Me being a female; I really like the game, but I feel more comfortable with the lead being a girl (That's if I can help it I play games with boys too♥). If Neverland (the developer of the game) do something like placing gender selection I bet that a lot of people will be more than willing to buy RF games & I bet your sister will be happy too!.

You can be a female in Oceans as stated in my earlier post above.

Not really. The newest installment allows you to play as a male OR female.

I wish that they could remake the old RF games and make it able to play as a female
